Venue Info

As one of the largest roofed amphitheatres in the nation, Lincoln Amphitheatre is a majestic 1,500-seat outdoor venue located in the very woods Abraham Lincoln walked as a boy. From the time he was 7 until he was 21, Lincoln lived and learned in what is now Lincoln City, Indiana.

Accessible Seating: We provide accessible seating on the upper level of the amphitheatre, specifically, the back three rows. If you require special assistance, please inform an usher and they will be happy to assist you.

Pets and Coolers:  Both pets and coolers are prohibited at the Lincoln Amphitheatre.

Concessions/Beer/Wine: The Lincoln Amphitheatre offers a full concessions stand (hamburgers/cheeseburgers, pizza, Pepsi products, nachos, pretzels, popcorn, candy), as well as beer and wine (red/white) for our guests who are 21 and over.

“I Am Humble Abe Lincoln” Exhibit: Before the concert or production, or during intermission, we invite you to walk through our exhibit entitled “I am Humble Abe Lincoln.” This exhibit is a companion piece to the Young Abe Lincoln production and is a self reflection of Lincoln.

First Aid: If you require first aid, please inform an usher and they will direct you to our First Aid station.

The First Aid station is located behind the Exhibit Building.

Restroom Facilities: Restrooms are at the rear of the amphitheatre on the far ends of the concourse area.

Photography: Use common sense, best judgement, and best practices when taking pictures. The use of flash photography is highly discouraged during the concerts, and, for obvious reasons, prohibited during the play.  However, we do want you to promote our venue and our events on social media, so, for that reason, photography is allowed during the concerts and only before, during intermission, and/or after the play.

Professional Photography Before, During, and After PerformancesThe Lincoln Amphitheatre has a professional photographer onsite for all performances.  The images captured on any given evening are for social media promotion and potential future marketing uses.  If you do not want your likeness used in that manner, please reach out to the Amphitheatre's box office at lincolnamphitheatre@visitindiana.com or by phone at 812-937-2329.

Cry Room: If you have a restless child during a concert or theatrical performance, please take them to the air-conditioned cry room at the rear of the theatre where you can continue to enjoy the performance without disturbing others.

ATTENTION TAILGATERS:  Due to parking limitations, please have any extra vehicles park in the Troy Road overflow parking area.  It is a short walk to the Amphitheatre's parking lot and an asphalt trail is available.  Additionally, if you have people in your group that are coming for pre-show tailgating BUT AREN'T ACTUALLY ATTENDING THE PERFORMANCE, they must: 1) pay to enter the park at the front gate ($7 per Indiana car, $10 per out of state car) and 2) park in the Troy Road overflow.  Our parking lots were designed to hold concert-going traffic, not tailgaters who aren't actually attending the event.  Your adherence to this rule is greatly appreciated by the Amphitheatre staff as we hope to continue to allow tailgating at our performances.

Smoking: Smoking is prohibited inside of the Lincoln Amphitheatre by state law.  If you must smoke, there is a designated smoking area behind the concessions building.  Should you have trouble finding it or the signs marking its location, please look for an usher in an orange amphitheatre staff shirt and they will point you in the correct direction.  Please also make effort to utilize the appropriate disposal receptacle for cigarette butts.

We look forward to hosting you during our 2020 performance series!  If we have not answered your question on this page, please feel free to reach us at LincolnAmphitheatre@visitindiana.com or by phone at 812-937-2329.
